Breakdown

I help create short, intimate profiles of strikingly interesting people.

In my short doc editing work, it's my job to find the person in the moments, the quirks, the details, to give hints to a lifetime in a few brief minutes.

Director Matt Ornstein brought me two fascinating projects, one of then-congressional candidate John Ossoff and his mentor, John Lewis campaigning in Georgia's sixth district. The other was a of former Ku-Klux-Klansman (and figure in Ornstein's feature Accidental Courtesy) Scott Shepherd sitting down with Rebecca Hawkins, the black woman that raised him.

When director Georg Kallert became fascinated with prolific illustrator Mike Bennett, he enlisted me to weave a warm and idiosyncratic profile of the man in his natural environments (a remote cabin and the bustling vastness of a comic book convention).
